Golden bird

Every day it would sing in the morning and wake the girl up, she would open her eyes and the first thing she would do was caress the golden feathers of the little bird. Seeing it as tender and bright as a ray of sunlight was the little girl’s joy. Every day she watched the sunset with the little bird, she would close her eyes and feel blessed by fate that brought them together.

One day when the sun was gone, the girl entered the room and when she looked at the bird she knew something was different, he wanted to go. The girl looks sadly at the beautiful golden bird and says : I just wanted to take care of you, my little bird. Tears roll down her face and the bird eyes said there was no more pleasure in staying, so the girl asks for one more song, one more dawn, one more sunrise, just one more moment.

Early in the morning she open her eyes and with her heart aching she says with shaky voice: Go, my little bird

She lets him go, and through the window she sees her little golden bird like a ray of sunshine flying on the wings of the wind not looking back, but she lets it go because she loves it enough to rather see it flying away than being stuck on her life. She let it go because she loves the little bird truly to the point of accepting anything it wanted even if it means not having it for good.
