dull clothes

we limit ourselves to fit in the norms,

to be ordinary like any other person.

we limit ourselves and make up rules in our minds

they aren’t written nor talked about but everybody seems to comply to them,

without showing a glimpse of doubt about their necessity.

because complying reassures them,

discards any form of anxiety or concern.

they enjoy the uninterrupted sleep,

they reward themselves with it.

because answers are summoned immediately by them

because they want the comfort that the knowledge of being in the right path will give to them.

they are too frightened to “give time” nor “go with the flow” ,

they are too frightened to risk what they’ve got so they choose the predictable, mundane way of living

which withers them to death

but hey, at least they are assured they got to accommodate their offsprings

whom we will watch as they grow and die with the same dull clothes.
