Three hotels using robots and AI

The age of AI is dawning, and the technology is spreading more in-depth into our lives. The first hotels to implement AI in their operations are already here, making their guests’ stay more comfortable and carefree. For now, it is AI chatbots that do the majority of the work, but you can also find real robots among hotel employees!

Rose — an artificial intelligence concierge

The Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas was one of the first in the hospitality industry to adopt a virtual AI concierge. Her name is Rose, and she is a chatbot ready to answer your questions 24/7, and with a sense of humour to boot!

Rose can help out guests with anything related to the hotel, establishments nearby and she can even order pizza to your room, even if it’s 3 a.m.

Еdward chatbot

Radisson Blu Edwardian in London and Manchester can also witness and enjoy an AI concierge at work. Similar to Rose, Edward was created to make the stay at the hotel as humanly as possible. And if there is something Edward finds unable to accomplish, he will connect you to a human operator.

Concierge robot at Hilton

Connie, a concierge robot, has made its debut at the Hilton McLean in Tysons, VA. Named after the brand’s founder, Conrad Hilton, the robot is half a meter tall and can answer hotel-related questions and even give directions with its tiny arms.

The main task, Hilton representatives say, was to get rid of customer pain points such as waiting in line to ask an employee a simple question. Are you looking for a restaurant or a restroom? Just ask the robot.

There is no doubt these are small steps on the path to AI adoption in hotels, but every long journey starts with the first step, and we are sure that in the next few years AI will become an essential tool for the hospitality industry.
